Looking for some advise here, I am in the process of installing my prosport electric boot gauge and cant get it to work.

I have used add a circuts for all my power lines

contant power - taken off the passenger headlight circut
ACC - taken off the driver side window circut
illumination - tapped into my dimmer lights.
ground - to a bolt on the right hand side of the fuse box under (on the metal frame)

so with all of this hooked up... nothing, gauge justs sits there laughing at me... I even took out the illumination circut incase it was doing something funny as it is not required... still nothing

anybody have any suggestions.

Thanks

Is it the premium series? If you're suspecting the gauge is defective take it out, directly wire ground and constant positive to the battery and see if it does it's sweep. You can also check the other circuits just using the battery. You obviously won't get the gauge to get any boost readings, but it'll prove illumination and sweep/needle movement is working.

I can't remember exactly what circuits I used for my premium series prosport boost, but it seems like your power sources would work correctly. The only thing I can think of is switch your constant power to another spot. If it's the premium series you have to go directly from the battery to keep the peak boost setting in the memory of the gauge. If it's the normal one use the cig. lighter. Also, ensure a very good ground, scrape some paint off if you have to to ensure metal to metal contact. I've had issues with crap ground before and had to find another spot to ground to.

If you're still having problems I could probably go and check which wires I used in my MS6, but it probably won't be the same for your car.

I was concerned that mine may have been damaged due to some issues I had with it getting stuck in a gauge pod, and needing to bang it out very forcefully.

I just installed it this past weekend, and before doing ANY wiring, I hooked the black wire up to the battery -ve, twisted the red and orange together and hooked those up to the batt +ve. It does the opening ceremony and stuff. Try that. If that doesn't work then yes, its defective.

Thanks Guys got it all sorted out

used a 9 volt battery to test all my lines as well as the gauge and it worked fine... then connected everything again and all was good. I have a feeling my ground was no good or there was a loose connection first time through.
