Hello everybody, brand new to the forums here, just bought a Mazda 3 last thursday and was wondering if anyone here know of CAI that fit a 2012 Mazda 3 2.0L engine. I've been to a couple of places and noone was able to give me a straight answer nor did they have anything in stock. Also looking for a catback exaust system and the most popular one seems to be Magnaflow, any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.
PS: Love this car!
Thanks for any input/help.

The magnafow should be easy to get a hold of, try Nextmod, they have a sale or two going for most things.
If you need a hand for the install send me a pm and we'll work out a day

Most shops wont have what you want in stock (althought you might get lucky).
Keep your eye open on specials from our sponsors in the classified section if you are patient.
With exhaust it boils down to what sound you like since each brand sound a little unique. Go to one of the meets and hear the sound in person for best judgment.
There are some good threads in the Performance section
Good luck with the modding and welcome to TM3

Say what?
To the OP, there's also Corksport for the full catback, but its much louder than magnaflow.

dont know if it would fit on the 2012 ( but i dont see why it wouldnt) if its like the 2010 but the time all is said and done. the AEM CAI fit well in mine. just had to make a custom bracket, and i really enjoy my mazda speed cat back, but you have to cut and weld after ur cat for the mazda speed res, nice tone to it for sure, otherwise corksport and magnaflow seem to be the next option, ( i would rather a borla if it was me) tons of options

I actually work right beside them here in Markham, I'll stop by their store after work and check them out. Anyone I should look for in particular?

Aside from AEM cai that booter mentioned, another option is the 1st gen injen 2 piece cai (can be converted to sri for winter/spring). It works on 2nd gen 2.0 MZR without throwing a CEL.
Im thinking of selling mine, pm me if your interested (and once you get a quote from next mod ;)). Comes with K&N hydro shield as well.

Nextmod recommended me a Ractive intake, I think it was an SRI. I tried looking for CAI as well for my 2010 2.0L but I could only find Corksport SRI and a Simota brand intake.
None of the manufacturers have made a cai specific to the 2010+ 2.0. You have to use first gen intakes if you want a cai.

So I did put in a Ractive SRI from nextmod, not quite made for the 2012 2.0L I had to improvise a little :bang, its actually pointed/facing down but has stayed put for 2 days, Not feeling very confident so I wait until they make it specific for the model and get it.

It's supposed to be that way.
It's "technically" better because it is further away from the hot air of the engine. (All you people gunna flame should note the quotes)
Mines been that way for a year....because that's how it's supposed to be.
Look in my ride thread (link in my sig)

i think the only CAIs are made for the 2.5L at least thats what mines from. so far no cel no problem, just had to make the bracket and shes been good for over 6 months now

this is interesting to know. i always thought you were using a first gen 2.0/2.3 cai (they share the same maf). if a 2010+ 2.5l intake is working without issue for you, despite the 2.0/2.5 maf being different in size, then i will look into the 2010+ 2.5l injen cai...thanks john.

nope its a 2.5L AEM cai. didnt even know the maf was a difference size, but everything bolted with out issue ( less the bracket), no leak or nothing. not sure which part of the maf is bigger or different from the 2.0L to the 2.5L. so far so good
