Had the lovely experience of a customer comming into my store asking if I knew who drives a black Mazda?

Sadly that guy was me and this was the result of her trying to back her GMC Yukon out of a parking spot........

you are lucky that she acknowledged fault and accepted responsibility. it might be a costly repair if you decide to blend the paint with the fender; bumper and tail light can be replaced fairly easily.

This sucks I hope she pays up. And I agree 100% with the title alone

Looks bad but refreshing to see a responsible citizen not like the average hit and run which appears to be the norm these days.

Tail light, bumper cover and some minor sheet metal work on the qtr panel but atleast insurance will cover.

good for her for coming forward, not like it matters anyway, insurance pays to fix it

What do women in SUVs have anything to do with it? People are hit equally as many times by men in large SUVs too (pretty sure it was a dude in an SUV that hit my car and took off recently)... sorry you got hit, but bad choice for a thread title.

Yea I have to commend her for comming forward, there was however a group of witnesses so its not like she had much choice. As for the title, its just my "gripe" with her. She didn't even say sorry and was trying to blame some dude walking by as an excuse. Oh well, her insurance will be footing the bill.

At least she took responsibility, whatever the excuse/distraction etc. Could have been much worse...

like Cujo said, she didn't have much of a choice since there were witnesses. I'm sure if she drove off (which she would have most likely done if there weren't any witnesses) and someone called the police on her, she would have gotten into more shit! :chuckle

And for the people who don't come forward, we have security cameras! :D

Seriously, though, the damage doesn't look that bad. I mean it's bad, but it could be a lot worse considering she was rolling in a Yukon. Best of luck!

UMMM, your car wasnt hit because it was a WOMAN driving an SUV, your car was hit because it was a bad driver, or a good driver that simply made a mistake. The two are NOT synonymous and I feel like that was a VERY IGNORANT thing to say, considering I know MANY women drivers (many of which drive large trucks and SUVS) that probably drive better than YOU do.

Not to be ignorant or anything but most of the people who have cut me off in a parking lot and almost got me into an accident have 90% time been female drivers. This may because I used to work at a mall. As for the SUV part, can't say here or there.

OT: Wasn't too much damage, and she came forward which is rare.
