Like the title says, I'm heading over to Vancouver in the middle of July and want to do something for 2 days. Any suggestions.
What's great there other than the view?

clubs, go fishing in steveston, eat sushi, whiterock casino, olympic stadium gym.
Make the drive to whistler if you have the time
Best cruising road I've ever been on. Stop in Squamish along the way and check out The Chief and Shannn Falls

You could visit Granville Island followed by a walk in Stanley Park and lunch or dinner @Raincity Grill (http://www.raincitygrill.com). They have fish&chips that are unmatched anywhere IMHO.
If you're into sushi, real stuff and not the crap that is passed here in T.O., go to Blue Water Cafe (http://www.bluewatercafe.net/) in Yaletown, especially when Yoshi-san is working ( Th->Sat nights). An alternative will be the Octopus' Garden ( http://www.octopusgardensada.com/).

Granville Island + Stanley Park is definitely a good idea.
Blue Water is awesome. My cousin's boyfriend works there and the place is frickin' awesome. Pricey but awesome.
The drive to Whistler might be too much for a 2 day stay but it is a nice drive.
Yaletown is also good to check out.
Damn sirwanker is basically on the same page with me about everything lol

Surprised nobody mentioned Grouse Mountain or Capilano Suspension bridge. You can do both of those in one day easily and the drive to Whistler is only about a 1 1/2 hours so that is easily doable depending on traffic/speed but the views are amazing... Especially coming back before sunset.

go for a mini-road trip to Kelowna!! It's the best place in the world lol
Have lunch/dinner at a place called Earl's right by the lake. Best pasta I've ever had. Last time I ate there was like 15 years ago but I can still taste it if I close my eyes lol.
