Anyone know where the best place to get a rebuilt caliper?
my rear right (passenger) caliper is being a little funny and noticeably the boot is torn, I'm thinking of replacing the thing as to not have to worry about it later.
I know PartSource has rebuilt parts and a buyback service for busted parts.
Thanks in advance for the help.

cant u buy a rebuild kit since its only a torn boot? the compression tool is gonna be a bitch cuz it has to spin while being compressed. i got a compression tool for lik 14 something and turned it with pliers. its not good for the piston...i would look for a tool that does both compress and spin.

If you still need the caliper compression tool, you can rent it for free at canadian tire. Just ask the automotive desk about renting it.

upon return of the core (your caliper), u get your core money back =]

I rented the partsource kit and it worked for me. It took a lot of sweat and time but the tool worked eventually. I used the disc with the two pins that had the 3/8" slot in the middle for a ratchet.
