I'm looking to get a edge trimmer and have it narrowed down to two, but not sure which is actually better.
I'm new to all of this, so any help would be appreciated.

1. Cub Cadet - 4 Cycle Trimmer
- Never heard of Cub Cadet?
- Sold Online only, so I can't really see how it balances etc...
- $199

2. Craftsman - 2 Cycle Trimmer
- Better brand? Reviews seems to show warranty isn't actually that great
- $179

Don't do it.
1. Never heard of
2. A brand i'm not particularly fond of.

As a landscaper of 5 years now I recommend
http://www.stihl.ca/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=15&x=ROZc1mlw7SixXuH1I6E8sg

or

http://www.stihl.ca/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=16&x=jbgV+BLBDuaDtR+4B+6sQw

I really prefer the second style as I used that for hundreds of hours per summer for 3 summers.

I actually just bought a trimmer yeterday. Dont know how good it is but i paid $70 for it at Home Depot. Its a "Homelite" 22cc gas engine, curved shaft...lol... (13lbs) *not found on website*

They also had the straight shaft..lol.. for like $80, Like i said, I havent used it yet so i dont know how good it is. But if its sh*t then ill just return it.

The way I see it is, theres o need to spen a million dollars on a trimmer for home purposes, If your in landscaping its a different story....my .02

That's very true, but I've found that I will never, ever, buy a curved shaft trimmer. I have one at home and hate it with a passion

I thought the curved would be more comfortable.... I dunno...lol.... the straight shaft was $10 more... maybe for a reason...lol... Ill give it a shot and see how i like it.

I've been told, straight shaft is the way to go. So that's why I'm only looking at straight.

I know Stihl is good but I want to spend under $200.

Any other options Hyperion?
