Hi all,

so I recently been playing around with my GoPro hero2 and took a few videos in 1080p /HD or whatever. I upload it onto my computer and notice a 10min long video is ~1GB...?!?!?!?! howthe f**k am i supposed to upload a 1GB video onto youtube? That would take an entire day to upload and use up all my bandwith limit LOL

how do you people do it? I managed to make the video into 480p to keep the size more reasonable ~300MB which stll took a good 30min -40mins to upload onto youtube...

I use Windows movie maker and edit, add titles etc and then publish from there. It works for me!

thats a 1 min video, what was the size of it?

is it normal for my 10min video to be 1GB? Is there any way to shrink the size a bit but keep the quality? uploading a 1GB onto youtube takes forever

That video is about 300MB, I think you need to compress it. Try the Windows movie maker because it seems to compress it automatically an still retains HD when published.

Generally those videos need to be compressed. I usually edit the video and when rendering it will ask you for compression and gives you a preview. However I use vegas/after effects. Windows movie maker should have something for that.

This guy seems to use Movie Maker, not sure how good the actual tutorial is though.
