What is the top speed of a prius? How about a Nissan leaf? Are you in a shoot out with a TDI down the street? The speed limit is 100, anything above that is gravy :chuckle

I'm not sure it's actually a limiter, as much as it is a theoretical top speed. And it is higher than the MZR cars and the GT due to the taller 6th gear ratio.

Lots of vehicles have electronic limits on speed. Mostly for safety I imagine. In Japan, the GTR is limited to 118 mph and in the USA its limited to 155 mph (Mind you it automatically disables those limits when the navigation finds you at to a race track). I'd bet the Sky can pull faster than 195 km/h but how ofter do you really need that?

I'm not saying you're a liar, I just find that very hard to believe. I'm doing 3,000rpm at 120km/h in 6th gear....I feel like you'd be screaming much closer to redline doing 195 in 5th.....your engine / transmission must not have been happy at all.

you know our cars have completely different transmissions and engines right......
Ill gladly say 3k rpm is nothing, my gfs 04 mazda 3 can hit 180 at redline

I know the engine / transmission is different...but I've also driven a sky and it felt / handled very similar (albeit slightly slower) to my 2.5 gen2. I was still in the 2.5-3k range doing 120km/h in 6th.....drop down to 5th and you're around 3.5-4k at 120km/h. I just dont see it climbing only 1.5k for an additional 65km/h. I'd be surprised to see my car doing only 5500rpm @ 185 in 6th....I really, really dont see it happening in 5th without some damage, or at least bouncing off the rev limiter.
Like I said before, I'm not saying its impossible or that I dont believe you....I'm just skeptical of your numbers based on my own experience driving these cars at high(ish) speeds.

next time you get a chance just floor it until you hit 180. youll hit it before the limiter.
