So the past few weeks ive had an unwanted guest in my backyard now thats really starting to piss me off. Every single night there is this skunk that keeps coming back for some reason. Ive seen it many times and can smell it every night but can never find it when the time comes to do something about it. My dog has been sprayed twice in the last three weeks including tonight. I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to get rid of it / keep it away, or if worse comes to worse, get rid of it all together so it wont bother anyone????

Natural Skunk Repellent (http://www.ehow.com/how_4392975_create-natural-skunk-repellent.html)

I'm sure this will work, even if the guide says it's for a Skunk den.

Edit: Not sure how effective this is, but I'd give it a shot anyway.

My dad has a humane trap for coons/skunks. If your interested let me know and I'll see if he will let you borrow it.

Either shoot it, use some sort of trap, or call animal control or pest control.

Probably your best bet.

The only thing is with a trap is once it has been caught im sure it will still spray if someone gets close to try and pick it up. Would probably have to call animal control for them to come get it after. Im guna try the pepper scents or ammonia rags to see if it works. Maybe camp out in the tree with some pellets and wait. I'll let you know on how those two things work, but if any has found a solution they have dealt with before i would love to hear.

try peeing everywhere, they take that scent in and might stay away...people also hang bars of soap around to keep deers away... not sure that will work though..

Get the skunk in the trap. Fill up a large barrel with water. Walk with a tarp infront of you to the trap. Drap the tarp over the cages. Pick up the cage and submerge in the water. Repeat till all skunks r gone.

+1, i peed on a tree in my back yard. keeps away, skunks, coons, rabbits, any rodent larger than a squirrel (ballsy suckers...)

have to do it after heavy rains.

and yes, i am serious.

^ asparagus maybe?

He's probably lonely. Get a black cat and paint a white stripe down its back. Problem solved! :P

Let it be bro,.. he probably will leave when he runs out of food.... I think it just needed shelter..

I had a racoon incident, and it eventually left 3 days later... Region of peel pet control was right, and recommended this approach.

Moth balls ... we had skunks living under the porch, landlord threw a lot of moth balls under the porch, eventually 15 of them left.

You get Bear Grylls. He'll hunt and it, kill it, and eat it
