Hey guys,

I'm kind of out of options here, grasping at straws - Just hoping someone who lives in Oakville can help me for about 15 minutes tonight. I'm meeting a guy out there for a phone transaction (location undetermined for now) at 9 and i'm kind of nervous to be walking around alone at a tim hortons with so much cash on hand.

The person doesn't have to be phone-savvy (though it'd be nice if they were). Essentially looking for extra eyes and or peace of mind :chuckle

Payment for this service includes a beverage and food-item of your choice.

Thanks!

just meet them inside the tim hortons where everything is on video....someone would need to be ultra sketchy / desperate to rob you inside a tims with customers present...
I know that doesnt answer your original request, but honestly I wouldnt be tooooo worried about it.

Thanks for the input!

I've heard too many horror stories about someone getting jumped before/after the transaction :P

I've dealt with situations like these before, criminals and robbers feed of insecurities. If you show them you're uncomfortable they'll take you apart. Just be confident and firm with what you say, simple and right to the point words.

"We said XXXX $, here it is"
"Count the money, make sure it's all there"
"Alright thank you, bye."

Too bad i didn't see this last night. wouldn't of had an issue popping out of work to give you a hand.

that being said, everything go smoothly?

:) Thanks for checking in! As it turned out, the guy was pretty young and came out to my neck of the woods with his mother so hooray on both counts! :chuckle

Both sides on the transaction have to be weary. Sad.

Glad things worked out for you.
