TM3 Sign up sheet for Snowboard/Skiing Trip MOONSTONE

Hello Everyone!

This will be my first time creating an event for TM3 members and hopefully not the last, I've done this with other companies for the past 6 years straight and it is a headache, but I like the challenge. For this trip actually works as a group rate I need more than 25 people and the Magic bus will hold at least 40. For that being said, it will stop to 40 counts of people.

Trip for this event will be mid Jan after my Mexico trip, LOL... But when signing up your name, please provide if you need rentals/lift ticket ;) This will be a group outing rate. Only sign up if you're serious about coming out! This is a cash paid day out for TM3 which means I will need the cash on the day of the event, once again mid Jan on a Sunday.

I will be renting a MAGIC school bus for that day and I may also be the driver if I plan on staying sober, LOL. You may bring DRINKS on the bus and you can also drink it on the bus, just keep it away from the windows.
The meeting spot will be in Mississauga which is unknown for now until I figure out where it is best to park our Mazda’s, and our departure time will be approx. around 6am, just enough time to make it in for the hills at 8am. This will be the entire day and departure time is 4pm. Also we will be stopping by on the way for McDonald’s breakfast or Tim’s coffee.

Deadline is on Christmas day and if we don't get enough people, consider this cancelled. Friends are invited!

That is your choice, the lift tickets is for everything;) Planning on a Sunday, I figure Mid Jan would be best for all the hills to be running. End date for sign-up is Christmas day and hopefully we get enough if not, school bus is off.

I'm in the same boat as you MattL. Same age, gone boarding a few times. Managed to knee myself in the face on my first time, good times! (didn't know I was that flexible too)

I also don't mind hanging with beginners if there's going to be a few people. I used to board a lot in the park but skateboarding/hockey injuries have prevented me from going hard these past few seasons. Hopefully I'll be in the swing of things come January :)

Don't forget to leave space and seats on the bus for the snowboards people will bring.

I run a snowboard group so I can likely fill the rest of the bus after TM3. I'm guessing $20 for the bus if it's full ?

I'd suggest a pick up spot also at Hwy 400 and Hwy 7. Lots of place to park and leave your car. Not all of us live west end.

Hey Guy's,

So far everything is looking good and already plan to have the last 4 seats available for our gears at the back, I may not be driving so, planning on having a few drinks. If this goes well with everything, I may do this every year as a meet and boat cruise meet for the summer which is a lot more of a headache and I may get St, Louis Girls to get involved with our events. This is still early and waiting until we get 25 peeps, once that is complete I will be contacting the bus company and Moonstone.

No worry beginners I will be joining you at the hills and lets have a few laughs.

For our pickup and drop off, I may have to contact tims franchise located on highway 400. Like I said still too early and I won't wait last minute to book anything.

The only thing is I MAY not be in for the bus. I live north so I don't want to travel way south just to pass my house on the way up. It also depends on my knees. I havent been boarding in years so I will be like a newbie. But I might ride the bus. Just because it sounds fun.

7/400 is a good location. The parking lot at the movie theater will be relatively empty.
In terms of confirmations, I would strongly recommend securing deposits, email address, and phone numbers ahead of time. Set a cut off date for deposits or full payments well ahead.

i could get the parking lot of my store available for this... pretty safe, only thing is that it is in newmarket ( yonge & davis ) not so far from the 400

Haha, no doubt. but ive been to the rocky mts around 10 times for ski/snowboard trips. nothing compares. love riding in fresh powder. been kinda stalling on learning the park/tricks/switch.

3-4 years back we got a serious dumping of snow and I went to Blue Mtn. pretty much every day that week. Waist deep powder on some runs that were technically closed. Nothing beats that powder shredding feeling!

This is looking great so far, once we hit 30. I will divide the cost for our bus and location/date is already been picked. 25 is our group rate for lift/equipment rentals and it seems that RJ3 will be the only one renting. I will provide coffee and donuts for this trip, its on me:headbang

We have 2 different types of bus to pick, luxury will be a bit more than a school bus. Which one?

My suggestion for pick-up location is either Yorkdale (good for non-drivers also) or Hwy 400 and Hwy 7 (lots of places to park and not too far out of town). If Yorkdale is the alternate pick-up then I can likely commit 10-15 additional bodies from my group.

I'd pay the extra if we are talking less than $10 more for the luxury bus as there is storage space below for gear and a washroom on board.

Edit: quick question!!
I am a little bit confused. Regular lift and rental ticket is $85 and then with the group rate it says $45 for lift + $34 for rental which equals $79. A savings of $6 is not really a group rate if you ask me. Is this correct??
