Sanszo water-less wash

I've been using Sanszo water-less wash to keep the cars clean for a few months now, a co-worker with a spotless black dodge ram told me about it and it works great! Spray on and wipe off, buff the streaks out and the whole car is done in less than 20 minutes. So far no scratches or swirls!

Seems similar to Optimum No Rinse, but premixed in a spray bottle. Any detailer want to comment about the differences?

ONR seems way cheaper in the long run.

have a fairly ( 2 years old bottle???) lying in my garage... use it primarily to clean up any prominent dried rain drops ( especially my rear bumper) or any other small part that is dirtier than the rest of the car.....have yet to use it for the whole car since i stick to using water + car wash soap or the car wash at petro canada ( if i dont feel like washing my car myself).... overall works fairly well..... would recomend soaking the car with water first and then spraying this on..... but this is a good product for those who dont have access to a hose and dont like car washes

i might try this just too keep the car visually tidy. but heard people say it causes micro scratches over time...

I picked up a bottle from Can Tire (some green brand)...figured it would be a good idea since I have no access to a hose in my townhouse lol

anyone try this on a (very) dirty car? I think Ill pick up a bottle since the car washes in my town (petro canada atleast) is crappy and my car gets dirty very frequently. And its too cold to wash the car using the pressure washer.....

I wouldn't use a waterless wash on a car that is too dirty. No product is slick enough to prevent scratches as you move dirt along your paint unless you're ok with ending up with a lot of swirls after the winter. I think it'd be better to run it through the car wash then using a waterless wash at home or going to a car wash bay if you have one near by.

the point of the soap in car wash products is to lift the dirt and grime off the surface and suspend them in the soap. a bit of agitation gets most of it off and the rinse lets the soap and dirt wash off your car. a waterless car wash product has very minimal "product" to suspend the dirt even when if lifts it off its surface. and when you wipe it off it causes the very course product, filled with dirt to scratch up against the paint which will embed the dirt into the paint.

if you wax your car often then it probably wont do much damage since theres a layer of wax before your clear coat. waterless products is good for a quick clean up before an event/meet/or photoshoot (where you drive your car) for a very mild layer of dust/grime.
