To run the subs and amp off the stock head unit , you need an Line Out Converter. The Navone brand are well reviewed .
The alternator I can not answer.

Just get an HU.

A while ago I was asking the same question. Bought speakers, amps and already had a sub.
After some time I decided to change my HU as hooking all that stuff up to my stock system would be a PITA. so I upgraded my HU and by far the best purchase ever. Made the stock speakers sounds 100 times better.

(Apart from the obvious amplifier, sub, enclosure) You will also need an amplifier wiring kit and a line out convertor

IIRC - the alternator is rated at 120-125 amps

It depends how much power you want to run. I ran 500w in my old Ford Taurus for 2 years, stock everything, no problems. Little dimming but wasn't too bad.

Then i pissed away my hard earned part time savings and ran a 1880w Mono + 760w 4 Channel in my Acura, i upgraded to a 300amp alternator, was a S.O.B to get installed did not want to fit, but after that and a good dry cell + additional battery i didnt have the faintest dimming, ever.

ok so you wanna install amp and ssub to your stock deck, heres what you'll need
1. 2 channel line output converter (this will connect to your speaker wires behind the cd player)
2. 4 gauge amp kit (this will include power wire, ground wire, rca, trigger wire, some inclued speaker wire, a fuse, fuse holder, and some split loom and hardware.
3. kinetic power cell i would suggest atleast the 600, use it as a 2nd battery as your lights will dim quite a bit

I ran a jl Audio 500/1 amp to a kicker L5 subwoofer, the lights dimmed alot, so make sure you get that kinetic power cell, I've installed quite a few in my car audio days and it will help out tons !! http://www.kinetikaudio.com/2009/default.asp for more information.

Power cell is probably overkill for most mild set-ups

I would beef up the grounds and add a capacitor before getting a power cell.

A capacitor does nothing but store power so the amp has a continuous 12v a capacitor helps the amp, not the dimming of the lights. up grading your grounds to a 4g-0g is a great idea!

as the powercell does the same thing, you can also use it as a replacement for your battery. but more or less its based on the o.p's budget and his intentions.

As for the hardware, you probably have all that answered by now... but in case you need some pics as to where goes where and what it looks like....check out my ice upgrade link...you might find some of my pics useful ;)

capacitor will never be able to store the amount of amperage a amp draws thats why its useless.
Power cell is much more usuable because it can carry alot more load.

Anyways

I recommend a new headunit first, even the least expensive one can make a huge difference over the stock HU and a line out convertor.
20ft of 4 gauge power wire and 5feet of 4 gauge ground, this size is for anything under 400RMS otherwise stick with 0 gauge.
12 gauge speaker wire for the sub and a RCA cable set about 20ft aswell depending on placement of amp

go behind the cd player to get your speaker wires, they are the twisted wires. i forget the colors, just google speaker wire colors 2010 mazda 3 and click the modified life link or te 12v.com link.

for the remote wire, go to your fuse panel (drivers side, on the side of the dash) and find your radio fuse, take the fuse out, turn your accessory on and with a test light, test the fuse socket, one side will have power, the other side will not, put your wire into the side that has no power and put your fuse back in. that way your remote wire is fused.

google the wire colors, and the loc come with wires, white/white black, grey/grey black and or green/green black, purple/purple black. hook those up to your speaker wires and then the rca's plug into the loc

if it didnt come with wires, judging by the photos on google, your gunna need some speaker wire.
here are the wire colors via modified life
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): White/Light Green
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Pink/Brown
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Blue/Brown
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Green/Light Blue
solder some scrap speaker into these wires behind your cd player, then connect the other end of the speaker wire (the ones you soldered) to the l.o.c

I installed my subs with a stigner Loc not recommended used another cheaper one and sounds alot better the only with with keeping the stock head unit is the bass control is to your speakers so it sounds shitty sometimes
