Saw this on the auction page. Listed from Stouffville, and it has a lip around the car, and it seems like it had an exhaust and an intake (That was all removed)

Did this happen to anyone? If so, hope they are alright.

That would be true, seeing as I don't own one, but I kind of want to buy this one. Just scared that the fire was more than just wiring and battery failure. I am worried that the engine may be fried as well :(

And an extra bit of information, the main engine harness, that costs about $4700. I think I'll have to sit this auction out :(

If you buy it cheap enough you could sit on it until one comes up that has a good front clip.

yep thats my buddys old car, apart from the obvious. no intake in the car, no bov, no down pipe or exhaust at all. lots of work needed to get it running thats for sure, and the passengerside lip extension is cracked at the front, also as a speed with the tech package it doesnt have the Led tails anymore. but it does have the rear bumper leds.

i wish i could have the brakes :S

Then booter, did his engine catch fire, or just the harness and battery and computer?

I talked to his buddy for a long ass time when grabbing the stock Fuel pump as most TM3er's do lmao... He said the battery arced due to a loose connection and after it arced it created enough heat after a while to start a fire. He smelt it when we got out of his car but he didn't know what it was so he never had any time to stop it.

Loose battery connections = my greatest fear now (tightened my + and - right after I got home)

Such a sad story... :(
