In the past week I've finally got around to getting some minor mods to the car. Last week I bolted on a Cobb SRI and TIP along with a CP-E HPFP and now I've loaded up a OTS stage one map from my AP. Looking at the list of OTS maps cobb doesn't have a stage 1 map that list the HPFP as a mod without a IC upgrade, they do have a stage 2 map that says SF, TIP and HPFP but I'm assuming that also includes a DP? Should I stick with my current tune?

I was pretty sure I was going to go Cobb or CP-E for the down pipe but there is a ultimate racing 3"catted DP for sale in the classifieds. How does that stack up compared to the other 2?

the one for sale will only replace the first cat. The UR is a 2 component piece.

fywdyl needed to replace the upper section to work with the new turbo.

Crap! I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer for a DP. Thanks for the info loki!

Breakfasteatre is running a UR set-up as well.

You can buy this upper half and then just simply purchase the UR test pipe for around $150 or so, plus UR is local so easy to get stuff from them.

Hmm, I have a friend that could make me a test pipe not sure if its any cheaper than the actual UR piece, I'll make a few calls tomorrow!

Make sure you get the proper gaskets if you end up fabbing it, unless you're welding it on.

pros of a 2 piece downpipe:
ease of install

cons
chance of leaking

I suggest just going with the UR test pipe if you're interested. It was made to fit together vs some custom piece.

Sounds good, I guess there isn't much $$$ to be saved if the TP is $150 anyways

The more I look at the cost of my eventual plans the more and more I consider dishing out the $4850 for the CP-E kit with a GTX2867 before the price goes up! I don't think my supporting mods are that far off, I'd need injector seals, larger MAF sensor and a IC upgrade.....
