View Full Version : TM3 Holiday Dinner - Possible dates

As it gets closer to the Holidays, time to start thinking about our annual Holiday dinner gathering. This event will also be the culmination of our annual Holiday food drive(details later this week).
Location is likely to be in the 7/400 area so that members from East and West can meet half way.
First step is to decide on a date. Sunday evenings have historically been the best time, so I am continuing with that idea.

This will be a first for me (attending the holiday dinner) so look forward to it. I personnally choose the 16th. It's a week before Christmas, kinda get you in the spirit when you're closer to the date. It may conflict with others as some may be going away close towards Christmas be regardless of the date I'm in

How about a Friday or Saturday so some Ottawa people can stop in on their way into town? ;P

i voted for the 9th, that was its not too close to christmas, for all the procrastinators out there, they can get some last minute shopping done! lol, anyways, members only or will the other halfs be invited?

Make a day and I'll try and make it.

Typically what is the location?

Typically what is the location?

Varies, but as I said likely in the 7/400 area to make it reasonable for everyone.

Feel free to bring your other half.
Keep in mind it's a pay your own way dinner, but TM3 will usually buy some appetizers, etc.

It doesn't matter to me when it is, as long I get enough notice to put in a day off request

that's fine as long as you have the green light to mod the car as you wish...buuuut if you are hiding the mod paths like some of us, I wouldn't bring the wife cause then you'll get busted with all the talk...so you've been warned...

Crapppp I need to change my vote. The 9th wont work for me anymore cus I jsut got an invite last night to my friends bridal shower that ends at 6pm... IN PETERBOROUGH!

I'm in the wedding party, I have to go.

I vote either the 2nd or 16th.

ok, quick question for folks. I wanted to have the dinner at Dave & Busters, but they are booked for Sundays. What do people think of a Thursday evening December 13 ?

I can't take any days for reasons that take too long to explain

Lol. I know the feeling being the only person who can really do nights during the week at my workplace makes it hard for me to get a night off. I'm sure if I give enough time I can get someone to cover. What do u do if you don't mind me asking?

Don't base it around me, but I'm not good for Thursdays in general either. Daughter has her ballet classes that day.

i can do weekdays if its at 7:30 or later but if this is gonna be a "formal" dinner meet i would prefer weekends

A bunch of people have said Thursday is not good. Going to see if Wednesday is doable with the location.

If you still wanted to try for sunday the 9th I could probably arrange something with the Wild wings @ Vaughan Mills (I know the owners)

Will keep that in mind, but have other intentions at this point.

Let me know what's up Ami and if I can help. There is no way I can do sunday cus of my bff's bridal shower. But I am good for any other day. Also during the week is fine for me.

Also, this isnt a "formal" meet or anything. We all just get together for dinner and hang out. No need for dressing any different or any special attention :P
