I have a 2012 mazda 3 with 8000km on it and i find the front rims get very black from the brake dust is there a way I can make this not happen?
or whats a good way to clean my rims from it ?

Optiguard/Opticoat on rims is the way to go.

+1 on the Opticoat or simply a good Paint Sealer and Wax.
Washing frequently (once a week) will help. If you clean frequent, you shouldn't need anything harsh.
I use Simply Green Automotive for both the tires and rims.

dont drive...:chuckle you may find the dust becomes less and less you need to take into account that when the pads are brand new the first mm or two is softer to allow the brakes to seat in better. it does start to get better as they wear. same thing will happen if you ever have them replaced.

Can you clarify what is so bad?
The brake dust or the harsh cleaner?

I have a 2011 and I had a post on the exact same issue when I first got the car. I've just learned to live with it.

Can't really do much about the brake dust other than not drive lol. Heard good things about Sonax (sp?) rim cleaner...I am probably gonna get a bottle to try it out. Apparently works great for brake dust.
Wash it once a week and you'll have no issues. Sometimes I just take 10 minutes and wipe them all down with a towel if I see theyre getting bad. Be thankful it's not like those Mercedes you see with the front tires covered in it and the back ones bare. The early 350Z were notorious for it as well
