Smoke puff when hard accelerating

[Stretch]

Tonight I was accelerating from 4th gear into 5th and I put the pedal down a bit more spirited than normal driving, and then a plume of darker smoke cane out of the exhaust and temporarily blinded the guy behind me. It's given puffs before under spirited acceleration, but this one was a bit bigger. I'm running rotella T6, have around 189k km, and have noticed a slow drop in mileage over the past several fill ups.

My question is:
Is the turbo dying?

I'm no expert but just sounds like your maybe dumping a bit too much fuel, maybe MAF is dirty or bad. If you have a AP do a log.

it happens to me sometimes, i only have 88k and i just put a rebuilt turbo, its normal.

True i don't accel to quick too often. I'm getting an accessport friday hopefully so I will be able to do these 'logs' you guys talk about. The car is stock, so will the ap come with a good tune to use for it?
