Formula One Pinnacle tint is about $100 more than LLumar Classic tinting. Is it worth the extra $100? I am concerned about fading not appearance. I would be happy if it last five to seven years without fading.

Another question: Should I wait until April or May to get the tinting done. I hear it takes long to dry in cold weather.

Any comments, specially from members who had got Classic will be appreciated.

i would wait until the spring now. is the pinnacle tint ceramic or are they both carbon film? and do either of them where you are getting them installed have a no fade gaurantee?

Pinnacle is ceramic. I will ask about no fade guarantee. The problem is to get shops to honour the warranty after several years.

well hopefully if its in writing and the shops been around long enough. you wont have a problem. i did ceramic tint on my 3, the gfs, my dads camery, my buddys focus and i dont think i would use anything else. the fact it keeps out more heat as they say it should keep out 60% more. be that true or not i notcied a difference from it not being tinted and my last car which was and 8 years old and the tint super faded, but the ceramic over the carbon film i find has a different look when the windows are closed. so if it was me and the $100 more for ceramic. thats what i would do. and i tinted all my windows. sun roof and front windsheild visor.

I'm using pinnacle and I notice a difference before and after the tint was done in terms of the heat that it rejects. I installed them this summer when the temperature was 30C+ and I'd say its worth the extra $100 in the long run from the reduced A/C usage, etc.

I found all tint to do the same, even the classic series. I have used it on my past 3 cars and have recommended it to friends and no problems.

I am debating over the ceramic as well though as they say it affects the radio and bluetooth reception less.

Had Llumar Pinnacle (ceramic) installed a few days ago. It's supposed to reject more heat vs. a comparable shade of regular dyed tint. The colour of the pinnacle tint looks better than classic to me, can't really say why though. Not sure if all installers offer a no fade guarantee, but I know Autolinks does.

I have the pinnacle ceramic (FormulaOne) and no issues with reception/bluetooth/gps. In fact, i can still stream bluetooth while the phone is in the house and the car is in the garage lol.

As others have already mentioned, heat rejection has been very good with this tint.
