View Full Version : Aftermarket Heated Seats
With the winter coming, I'm hoping to find some decent seat heaters... Does anyone know a place that install them, and what can I expect cost-wise? I have a 2007 GS, with regular cloth seats.
Sorry if this was already posted, I couldn't find anything relevant..
Thanks!

Ouch... even the dealership is cheaper :(
Thanks, I'll keep looking!

PM Thrizzl3 he may be able to answer some of your questions because I know he did an aftermarket leather heated seat swap in his old GX.

ok vs the looking to find a cheaper price. what are you looking to spend. 200? 400? 800? you looking just driver side or passenger side too?

good video, but i don think for me this is something i would try to do myself. not when it gets to air bags and sensors. if i did something wrong and i was in an accident and killed myself or someone else. it would be very hard to live with that. on the super extreme i know but just me. rather just pay to have that done right, and im pretty handy.

Phil did leather/heated seat upgrade but I did them originally as those were my seats.
I purchased a leather kit from bestleatherkits.com and got seat heater kit from ebay for roughly 200$ back at that time.
let me know if you are interested I can help you out
Thanks everyone for the replies! Katie gave me a good price, she quoted me around $500, which I think it's reasonable, given the work involved and the materials.
I'm running low on funds, with a new Mac and hopefully a good plasma for boxing day... so maybe next year!

The hardest part about DIY heated seats is the hog tie thing, the rest is just working the cloth back on propery after lifting it.
I put heaters in my H3 seats before I put them in the truck (Bought 2 heaters for $35 each from a buddy that has a dealership) and spent the afternoon doing it on my own with some help from my buddies that do Katzkin installs.
If you have the space and time, its well worth doing it yourself.
My butt thanks me each morning :)
