Hey guys,
Random question. Does anyone on here have any connections to an Aboriginal community centre/shelter or anything within the GTA or Durham/York area?
I know its probably a shot in the dark, but please do let me know!

Did you know that if a non-aboriginal female marries a male aboriginal, she becomes tax exempt.

lolol the indian act is so ****ed up, but thats a whooooole other debate that I dont want to get into.
And to answer the original question - I do have a connection through a friend. Not entirely sure of the specific band, but I know she's at least somewhat involved. What exactly are you looking for?
It's not exactly a connection but I found this place through research when I was in school 2 years ago studying aboriginal culture. It's in Oshawa

They offer children and teen and family programs for Inuit and Metis descendants. They also have a garden where they make mediences sacred in their culture. He's a link for more info.
