That's wild. Ill never understand why people get so worked up. The guy in this vid was just nuts. To chase down the guy for several minutes putting all those people at risk on the road is plan foolish.

I'm not going to lie, if someone go out of there car and ran at me like that guy after this ordeal I would have gone forward and pinned Jim against his own truck until the police came.

Edit: even the first time he got out, I would make a run at him with the truck.

Why he didn't run him over? I will never know.. Self defense for running him over would work. Look at how wacko this nut job is lol. If that was in the U.S. I think he would have been gunned down lol.

I don't understand why he didn't pull over when the first hit happened... he had no idea this guy was insane until afterwards, all he did by continuing to drive away was escalate the guy's rage.

Maybe the guy just REALLY wanted to apologize/exchange insurance information. :chuckle

agreed. Although he was rear ended he still should have stopped and exchanged info. I know I would have been pissed if the guy drove away even if I had been the one at fault...The guy in the black truck however was a little extreme for the circumstances

After he was rear ended, the guy in the black ute (truck) was already going crazy, as the guy stated.

Maybe he should have stopped, but if he was going nuts in the car before even getting out, I wouldn't stop driving either

ya its a grey area there...the guy in the black truck may have been angry/frustrated at himself for getting in an accident in his niceish truck but when the first guy continued to drive a bit it increased his anger...I don't know.

I probably would have started to stop until the guy showed signs of being unstable. And then I would have left him in my dust.

wow, his fist acutally cracked the windshield!

the dude running away was probally like if he can do that to a windsheild then what can he do to my face?

That part of the dash cam vid isn't shown so it's hard to say what really happened at the beginning but sounds like the guy in the black SUV was going crazy from the beginning and the victim was smart not to get out of his truck.

How couldn't they find him? You can clearly see the license plate in the video. :/

> Attempts to Illegally (not mention also dangerously) pass truck.
> gets pissed off because the other driver didn't let him pass even though it was an illegal maneuver
> Gets infront and slams the brakes
> gets mad when the accident was his fault, not the guy who hit him
> starts chasing the innocent person down

the guy in the black truck had rear ended the guy in the white truck once at the very beginner and was his fault entirely. the driver of the black truck seriously needs to get his head checked

Police is always hard to find when you need them. The emergency call center could locate the driver base on his cell phone signal and send the closest patrolling cops to go stop the mad cow.

In the video, they mention that the guy who was in the light colour SUV was an ex-police officer. So he may have known what charges he could have been booked with if he ran the idiot down.

Maybe the guy in the black truck rear ended him and then instead of just admitting that he was at fault blamed the other guy for stopping and that's why he was so mad. That sometimse happens.

i'm sorry but this would be self defense. It was clearly documented the guy was trying to cause him harm.

you're kidding me right?

if you have video evidence that someone is trying to cause harm to you and you hurt them in self defense, you're telling me they would say, attempted murder, 5 years in prison??

you high??

probably not...but hitting him with a car is a little excessive...but yes clearly video proof of him being in danger. If it was canada though...the guy could probably sue you for the fact that your glass hurt his fist as he was punching it.

But who knows maybe he thought the driver of the light truck was a famous celebrity and really, REALLY wanted his autograph :p

Try it and let us know! :)

Seriously though, as mentioned above, running someone down with your car and trying to kill them because they're on your hood is excessive. You're still protected inside your vehicle. Driving off was a better/smarter option than purposely trying to run him down. Your motive would be questioned, no doubt.

yes the guy was trying to harm him but in a situation like that when he is out of his car and you could drive off then that is what you should do. just because someone is attacking you doesn't give you the right to kill them. especially if your in a truck and he is on foot. now if he had a gun pointed at your car and was shooting at you, then you could run them down in self defence.
