Happy new year.

My goals for the year. Hit the slopes again ( haven't in 10 years)

Pay off my student loan ( at least 1/2)

And just generally make it a much better year then last.
First time being single for almost 10 years. Gotta move on and have some fun.

My resolution is to try to reduce the violence my diet requires. Seriously cut back on animal products and processed foods.

I was talking to my wife about this tonight ( we were talking about lobsters) but I honestly don't know if I could do it, though cutting back is doable vs full vegetarian

Was thinking having 2 full vegetarian days a week, and this has nothing to do with New Years resolutions

yes, I've been considering it for a while now as well, just happens to coincide with NYE. I don't want to make it a resolution, since that would just set me up to fail/give up, but I definitely want to start cutting back with the end goal of veganism in mind.

Happy New Years everyone :)

My NY's resolution would be less mods and more travelling. I can really get used to travelling more than once a year

VEGAN???

Don't get me wrong, im all for vegetarians ( not one my self, I don't eat a lot of red meats though) my last 2 girlfriends were vegetarians.

But carrots don't cry. Cows will die if they are not milked. Vegans make no sense to me. More so that it takes ALOT of work and smart eating to become a healthy vegan. The fact that most vegans are unhealthy is a big thing.

Now. If your talking about a few month cleansing. That I can understand.

I didn't ask for your opinion on the matter, but that's fine lol.
cows will not die if they aren't milked. They produce milk the same way every other mammal does in nature... Which means they keep producing it until it is no longer required (the calf stops drinking it because it grows up). Cows are pumped full of hormones to make them produce more milk than they naturally would, and are reinseminated in order to keep them producing milk. If left alone, a cow would not produce milk forever and would not explode. Don't be silly.

lol I fail. My New Year's resolution was to cut way back on buying food from the coffee truck because it gets expensive. And first day first break I have already failed at that. :s I have no willpower when it comes to some things.

Ok fine. It doesn't hurt a cow to give milk, and there is no baby chickens in eggs. Lol. the cow and carrot thing was ment as a joke.
Didn't mean to come off as an ass.

If you can do it and remain healthy more power to you. What I don't understand is when people are far from healthy yet remain vegans. There are ways to do it, look at Ellen. But most people don't or can't.

I know a few healthy vegans and to be honest it takes over their lives to ensure they do it safe. It is impressive tho

i know a couple of vegans and other than lacking iron (which they have to either get injections for or take tablets) they are pretty healthy and not super skinny either thanks to all the sugary/oily junk food out there lol nowadays its becoming much harder to stay healthy with all the processed, genetically modified, and artifical crap out there thats dirt cheap compared to healthier alternatives

Interesting. I am vegan and I have been one for 10 years. I used to be in the army and there were a few vegans there surprisingly. Although a vegan diet is not for everyone I have had no problems with health or bodybuilding. I guess it depends on ones body type etc. :)
