i was thinking about doing a seat swap in our 07 gs sedan and was wondering if i found a set that came out of a 04-06 would they be able fit with 07-09 models? are seats something that have been the same since 04?

thanks
chris

Fit yes. No airbags though causes a problem with the system/light. Search around and you will see what others have done.

ok thanks, so ideally getting a set from 07-09 would be best so i wouldn't have to do the ab light work around

Exactly. It would be plug-and play versus having to deal with other issues. They will definitely be harder to find though that's for sure.

07-09 hatch also fit sedan. ive done it. the only thing you need to do for the seat install is wire up the power drivers seat, heated seats and modify the airbag plug on the drivers seat.

with a set of 07-09 leather seats w/ the heat control dash piece what kind of work is needed to make the heat seated part work, do the gs models already come ready to do that or is wiring need to be done?

Not at all. The GT has a completely different whole car wiring harness and there is no way to tap into the existing system as far as i know. I searched long and hard and no one was able to. I had to develop my own wiring system/harness for the two seats and connect it into a power source. You will need the original buttons to make it simple and clean.

I was able to get the original dash piece that has the buttons and wires behind it.
even if it can't have heated seats just the leather is good enough for me

its possible and its really not complicated. its time consuming is all.

get the heated seats done. i have modified everything about my car and the heated seats is one of my favorite ones lol. dont know what i was thinking ever having a car in canada without them.

does anyone know of a place that would take my cloth seats from me, not looking for much money out of it $50-100 is fine. do you think wreckers would buy them if they sell used parts?

does anyone know anything about the the resister that prevents the seats from overheating, are they built in to the seats or into the dash piece with the switch or somewhere inside the gt models or if i need to buy an aftermarket one?

i would have to take a look at the placement of the three wires for my buttons. As in the PM they have a built in temperature control. so no worries with that.

Did you get the seats working in your GS Sedan? Did the heat controls work?
