I visited some older posts about 48Km/2 year service but just had some more general questions.

Mine is due for it in a few weeks and I called Maple and Markham Mazda and it seems they charge $260 with taxes in including oil change maintenance. I'm a little hesitant to go there because I heard from a few posts that its expensive, but it gives you that piece of mind even that warranty.

I don't know too many reliable mechanics, but some recommend Jimmy from street performance. Just gave him a call but he said the price was pretty much the same ($260 without only change and that it would be $40 on top). After asking him for a better price and telling him that Mazda charges the same, he checked his papers on Mazda vehicles or something and reduced his quote to $199 + tax with oil change included) which sounded better.

Does that sound like a decent deal? Does anyone else know of a reliable mechanic thats good with Mazda cars or in general in the Markham area for a good price?

That seems kind of pricey still.. I had this service done in October by a prior sponsor before they left at $100+tax (which I provided my own oil and filter). Isn't this service the same as the 1yr/24k service in which oil change/tire rotation/lube caliper sliders (brake service)/bunch of inspections and possibly optional cabin filter/engine air filter change?

I got mine done at the dealership (Avante) and I think it was about the same price. Either go with Jimmy and ask for the detailed receipt of work done ($230 including tax) or with a dealership's service that you trust. Keep in mind that not all technicians are equal in skill or attention to detail. For example the technician that did my first major service did a great job but the second time a different technician did it and didn't do as good a job as the first one. Just some things to consider.
