Loose Clutch

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping someone might be able to help. As of yesterday morning, my clutch went completely loose but was still shifting into its gears. I pumped it a few times and drove it around the block a couple times and it went back to kinda of normal. Had a mechanic take a look at it quickly and said that it may be the fluid might be low and topped it up. I tried it this morning and it was still kinda of loose and I'm a little worried that I may need to replace the clutch. I know it's gonna be hella expensive, but I'm hoping that someone might have a clue what it could be if they've had the same thing. Thanks.

it might not be the clutch, but air in the lines... bleed it first and see if it helps
it may also be a leaky slave cylinder, which in that case, you need to replace it... I recommend replacing the clutch master cylinder at the same time as usually both go bad around the same time
