From my experience installing them it should fit perfectly.
Just make sure you have an empty slot to the left of the steering wheel approx .75"x1.5" for the switch to slide into.

Thanx mate but any ideas on how it installs and where it plugs in...? I would assume that all the mazdas are relatively the same and the plugs are empty just waiting for the light to install take a look at the pics this is the genuine part

1) remove black cover under glove box
2) drill holes to screw in the light that doesn't have a curvy piece to it.
3) remove kick panels on passenger and driver side.
4) run wire through there.
5) open driver side fuse panel and pull of drivers left side kick panel (there's a small 2 step plug in there)
6) pry off panel with buttons on it to left of steering wheel.
7) unclip harness from said panel
8) remove dummy clip.
9) insert dimming switch
10) run wire harness up from the floor to your new hole.
11) ground the wire that has the loop on it to the 10mm bolt 6" below the fuse panel
12) Tricky part now. Unbolt fuse panel
14) unclip fuse panel
15) look at the back with all the wires, 2 rows down, 3 wires in there will be a red wire. Tap into that with T-tap provided.
16) reassemble fuse area
17) reach under drivers side, and unscrew a stupid, useless plastic thing that is attached to the bar underneath.
18) celebrate that that's out because that will have doubled the amount of time this takes.
19) zip tie on new light
20) zip tie wires out of the way
21) reassemble kick panels
Don't forget to actually plug in the lights, you can do this whenever.
