I've owned my Mazda 3 since 2005 with only 60,000KM (we fly when we go far), and my wife owned her Mazda 3 since 2006 and we've thoroughly enjoyed driving them. Unfortunately on Christmas eve we slammed into a deer on the 401 and the 2006 was a write off, but we've recently replaced it with a used 2009 Mazda 5 GT which feels like a 3 with a large ghetto booty.
I'm primarily joining as I've typically relied on dealers to maintain the cars, especially since we got them new, but I've decided that now is the time to get my hands dirty and learn everything I can about doing stuff myself, hopefully avoiding the temptation to get into modding (the angel eyes does look pretty sweet) :P
Besides replacing wipers and now light bulbs (I hate that stupid clip), I'm fairly green, so I'm trying to assimilate as much knowledge as I can. Short term I'm looking to at least maintain/replace the vehicle fluids, swap tires, and hopefully replace the breaks when needed. Anyone know the best place to get cheap parts in Canada or locally? :)
I'd post a picture, but the car is stock and covered in salt from the recent storm, so it's nothing to drool over right now http://www.custodela.com/p/smiles/emot-v.gif
