yes you can get these at pretty much any dollar store now, it has a little blade that cuts the cup down about 1/4 of an inch and then you pull it to un-roll the rim

and no, I finally figured this out while working at Tim Hortons for over a year. The prizes are supposedly even through all the sizes...

(HOWEVER) While working there I found that out of the people who won, most wins came off of the second smallest size that is able to participate. When I worked there that was the medium because the smalls were roll up the rims as well.

I have deduced that (this is just a theory) Tim Hortons suspects and knows that some people assume the more expensive the size the more likely it is to win, so they purposely dont do that. They also know some people are cheap and buy the smallest size which is now the (new small) just so they can play. I think your chances are probably best with either the (new sizes) small or medium. Because Tim Hortons makes more profit off the smaller coffees than they do the large ones. Therefore they would rather sell more of the smaller sizes than the bigger ones. But they also know some customers don't care about the contest, and that those people are more likely to be buying their normal size coffee as apposed to upsizing it just because its Roll up the Rim, and those people often throw out their cups without checking.

I know it has holes in it, but during highschool I bought all sorts of different sizes, as well as what I saw working there and I feel like smalls and mediums are the best bet :p

Dollar store. My old boss had one, but it didn't work very well. It's not wide enough, about an inch wide. So it will only cut either the English side or the French side. You have to have good aim lol.

Lee Valley Tools sell them at their stores. They are $2.50 and come with a ball chain so you can keep it on your key ring. We bought a bag full of them at Christmas and put them on our friends' Christmas presents.
