Which Color Theme? Lime green or Black?

Hey guys, spring is just around the corner and I wanted to add a little flash to my car. Since I got my car, all emblems have been dipped in Matte Black. I wanted a flashy change, and was thinking of making all my emblems Lime Green, and getting some lime green decals to match as well. What do you guys think? All suggestions are welcome!

If you want green do it subtly in decals as posted above, or maybe a hint of green in your rims somewhere.

personally I kinda like a little colour to POP...black on black is kinda blah to me...don't get me wrong I think it can look nice too....but it is more common. If you want something more unique as apposed to more of a cookie cutter type car go green. But like mazdabetty said...keep it subtle...don't go green crazy otherwise it is going to look like the 3 came into a bad run in with the Hulk...do emblems, maybe rims, or some part of rims, and maybe break calipers...and maybe the odd decal here or there...don't go overboard.

Yes. This is exactly why I want to change it. I love the look, but there are far too many black on black cars out there. I want to be the one to stand out from the crowd :chuckle

I recommend you avoid lime green altogether. Irishunchik claims it is "her" colour. :)

go check out Jova87 car thread, somewhere in here. he had charcoal grey and green. looked good but it was not overdone. had matt black rims and green enkei stickers inside them. many sponsors can print any color stickers you want.

and the 2 rim options that mazdabetty poseted look awesome.

Green is flashy and does pop out more. I wouldn't do it on my car. But its your car. Do what makes you happy. You can't please everybody, just please yourself.

Yeah, I'll be sure to not overdo the green. I think I'm just going to go with the first rim iption, because those actually look like my rims, and just painting or taping the lip would be a lot easier! I hope the weather warms up a bit more, so I can put my rims back on soon. Stupid weather is so unpredictable. It was like spring last week. Now it feels like winter again :bang

the main thing is though the greens would have to color match...you don't want different shades of green that would definitely belong or end up in the rice section.

Another idea I was pondering was getting nextmod to make me some lime green rally armor decals, and stick it right over the original writing.. I'll post some pics if I do go through with it. Going to nextmod this weekend to print me some decals :chuckle

It came with the car when I got it. It's actually not too loud and fart sounding. I love the sound, it gives a deep low rumble when hitting the gas, but it's not so loud like the other cans

It's not so much the sound I'm worried about, as most of us here have exhausts. What I'm trying to say is the look of it cheapens everything else you've done so well on it

if you want to stand out and be original do your own thing some people just like blending in

It's paint. I tried green blaze initially, and it didn't give me the bright, neon look I wanted. It actually looked more like a flat green the more coats I put on it, so I just peeled it off and bought paint. The Beauty of plastidip :)

I had an 06 sport in that color. Gunmetal emblems look very nice with the blue too. I personally like it much more than the black emblems on your blue.

Yeah like other people said the exhaust tip looks horrible.

With respect to colors, a lot of people don't like the green because they feel its overdone (ala ken block). However, pretty much every bright color looks fantastic on black.

My car was blacked out with hints of lime green. I love green on black personally. But from experience the vinyl doesn't stick well to rally armor flaps.

Rim idea: I had black rpf1. With green lugs + green enkei stickers(inside the rim lip) and black calipers with green Mazda calipers decal. Ill try to find a pic

Thanks.. Those are one of my favourite ones too. I was debating on going a bit darker, so you'd only see the "Zoom-Zoom" at certain angles. What do you think? Do that or keep it the way it is?

Finished my rear emblems and evil M mod. What do you guys think of the color? Tinting my taillights shortly as well, I think it'll look much better with that. Id say green callipers and leave it at that. Personally I don't like the bright badges.

Tint your tails and reflectors. Get rid of the red. If Nextmod has any led tails that don't have the red reflector inside get them. And dark tint.

Thanks, I plan on getting rid of all the red and getting led tails sometime in the future. But for now I'm just waiting for my tinted vinyl to come in, then I'm gonna wrap the tails, brake light, reflectors and maybe the headlights? I'm iffy on the headlights though, because I like how crystal clear they are. If anything, I may open them up and paint them.
