Used to own 2005 Mazda 3 GT (Sedan, with 2.3L engine). I'm now looking at specs for 2012/2013 Mazdas, but cannot find anywhere the rotor size. One thing I really liked about my former Mazda3 was the effortless and quick stopping power, I thought it was excellent for a stock car (yes, I know it's about brake pads and tires more than rotor size difference, but still)...

It's my understanding that 2005-2009 GT had larger rotors, is that still the case with the 2010+ model years?

Are there any differences in sway bar thickness or springs between the models? Thanks very much.

2.0L - 10.9-inch front rotors and 10.4-inch rear
2.5L - 11.8-inch front and 11.0-inch rear

I'm not sure about sway bar thickness, springs will be the same on the 2.0L and 2.5L.

Another question - is there a difference in calipers between the models and brake pads?

If I wanted to swap GT setup on Skyactive, for example, I'm guessing the calipers are different to accommodate a larger rotor.

The calipers are the same. Its the mounting bracket that is different.
