Hello All,

I have goggled this question like crazy and cant find anyone posting this question.

I have HID Low Beams and ugly but very useful Halogen High Beams.
On the 2008 the High Beams are the DRL's. Therefore the ugly yellow lights are on until I turn on my low beams.

I also don't want to use HID or LED for my High Beams since, LED is not bright enough, and HID takes to long to warm up and wares down faster with constant on and off.

I have a set of "Warning Cancelers" for my low beam HID, so that avoids one problem, but what can I do for the rest of the wiring?

Any help would be extremely appreciated!

I think you are confused. Pull the DRL fuse and you will no longer have DRLs. (which is technically illegal)

You are probably the only person in the would who would want their lowbeams as DRLs. Every 04-06 owner I know wants the 07-09 setup.

I would just do the indy-fog mod and use them as drls rather than your highbeams. You can change the bulbs to something more white if you want.

HIDs do not take that long to warm up.

Why exactly do you need the warning cancelers?

If you were to use HID's on your highbeams as DRL's then you would be blinding everyone drastically. OEM DRL's on the 07-09 run at half capacity unless the highbeams are activated. If you were to put HID's as DRL's, only then you would need a capaciter to prevent the lights from flickering

The warning canceller works as anti-flicker capacitor too.
Maybe the OP uses the automatic light feature.
I have the same setup and works like a charm.

OP has an 08 and has no need for the canceller
