View Full Version : Milder drop ratio than prokits?

So since I will be doing my shocks very soon I was wondering if anyone could suggest - based on their experience, if there are any other springs with a milder drop than prokits... I'm looking for say, 1" tops, I really don't want to make the suspension work any harder than that or my camber to produce negative effects on the tires. Please let me know your suggestions. The mild drop is to somewhat cover or reduce the wheel gap and an inch is an inch.

Never mind, took a nice little read at the above sticky!. But if you guys want to give any input it would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly, I think you'll be ok with Prokits. The drop is only a quarter of an inch more than you want and camber can be corrected with a set of adjustable camber arms ($100-200). Any lowering springs are going to accelerate shock wear (they won't blow your shocks per se, but they are supposed to reduce the life of the shock, which isn't something you can't measure without being Miss Cleo anyway).

I'm on prokits and no camber arms installed - I'm just within spec (-2.4 rear, -1.7 front) camber and I don't have much camber wear on my tires (~1/32") after about 20,000 km.

Racing beat offers a nice stiff spring with about 0.5" drop all around if you want to try that. I don't know of any springs offhand that only drop one inch.

speed3 springs?

Rear drop, front lift; MS3 engine is heavier.

racing beat spring does a mild drop. 0.6 in the front and 0.5 at the rear.

Going to order a set soon for my summer project

its definately not the s-tech...i think you're thinking the h-tech which is similar to the pro-kits (1.25-ish drop)
