I know everyone's going to tell me to get HIDs but its not an option due to the fact that I live in a rural town in Newfoundland so I can't get someone to do it for me and I have no idea what I'm doing.
My parents got me my car for graduation and if I void the warranty in any way they will skin me. My low beams are really dim and I have trouble seeing to the sides of the roads and even just straight forward sometimes.
Would buying new halogen bulbs help me in anyway? Something like a silver star bulb. Please let me know if this is dangerous in any way or if I could void my warranty with these bulbs.
Thanks!

You may just need them adjusted.
Personally I would suggest getting fogs. Newfoundland roads can be quite sketchy so you need as much light as you can get.
My suggestion is to let the dealer know your having a problem and they should check the adjustment for you, free of charge.
Hid's will not be the best option in your case as you would need projectors to get the effect you want. But for reference they are stupid easy to install.

The problem with that is the nearest dealership is 3-4 hours away!
My old car had fog lights, maybe I'm not adjusted to having less light with my new car.

Fogs make a huge difference.
I'm guessing you would have to go to St. Johns to get the work done.
You can always adjust them yourself. It's not to hard. I don't know how for gen 2 but should be easy.
You can also have fogs and a stalk shipped to you. And install them yourself, or have a mechanic/ mechanically inclined person install them. They are plug and play. ( at least gen 1 they are, I would assume they still have the harness setup under the bumper. )

I just searched it up and it looks like a pretty straight forward install. Where would I go about ordering the fogs and stalk?

There's a piece you can turn behind your headlights to raise/lower your low beam projectors. Just pull up to a wall at night roughly 10 feet away, and raise them both to equal height (you'll see the cut off line)
Edit: here you go

Dealer. Best place for you ( warranty ect)
Try one of the affiliate dealers first. Price compare. Not all will ship, but some may even offer discount.
You can also get aftermarket eBay ones. It will save you a few bucks on the lights but you won't get the stalk. You have to go dealer ( or if your lucky enough someone on here selling one).
On my gen 1 I have a button that turns them on and off. It looks oem except for the light on it which is blue instead of red. The problem with that is you may get denied warranty if an electrical problem occurs.
Make sure you check with "local" dealers as well. It may or may not be worth the 3hr drive. ( spend the night on George st. Have a black horse for me )
