Hello Everyone,
As the title suggests I am completely new to the Toronto Mazda world. I finally made the move from St. John's Newfoundland at the end of February, and made it to this awesome city March 1 2013. To complete the transition, I went out a bought a new 2012 graphite mica Mazda3 GT 6spd sedan :hawt, from Gavin @ Markham Mazda. I am very anxious to begin my long list of modifications, that only seems to be growing. I have been spending my first week with the car reading through this forum for great ideas and even better advice, and putting in some serious Km's. I'm thoroughly enjoying the cars handling and power.
As for mods, they start next week. Step one is to even out the cars appearance with tinted windows (debating between 35%, 30%, or maybe 20%), all Mazda, Mazda3, and 2.5 (if i don't eliminate it) emblems are being painted in a black or titanium chrome, lightly tinted tail lights, CorkSport smoked LED rear bumber reflector kit, and evening out the front lights with either LED fog light bulbs or some other was; any suggestions?
I am very interested in the CorkSport product line. Engineering, customer service, and product performance reviews are all great.
I will be most certainly posting pictures of the mods and process as they happen.
See you all on the asphalt!!

Thank You all for the warm welcome. I am growing very anxious for this season to begin. Clean the roads with the week of rain that we are expecting and start the projects for this season!

How was the service you received from Markham Mazda?
Welcome!
I'm guessing you've already discovered our stretch of the 401 highway? - one the fastest in North America. Just saying, LOL. On the flip side, beware of speeding tickets - zero tolerance 99% of the time.
Congrats on your Mazda3 - a car with great looks, performance, a chain-driven cam engine (the best IMO) and reasonable maintenance costs. But be vigilant regarding rust! - i.e. Mazdas rust fast if not taken care of proactively.
Cheers.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Can't wait to meet most of you at the AA season opener meet at Don Mills and Steeles on the 25th. Hopefully I get everything installed by then. Who normally is carry the TM3 swag?

It isn't anything to brag about, though with that said I'm not the easiest person to sell anything automotive to. I knew what i wanted to pay and they were able to get extremely close. Gavin was able to meet my deadline that was two days ahead of his. I performed the delivery myself, and was off the lot within 20 min with everything set up. I have not had to contact him since, and i doubt i will have to with the list affiliated dealers to TM3. All the same I will contact them to see if they will match accessory prices with MoT.

Thanks for the heads-up. I am quite familiar with the 401 as I have been traveling to TO 2-3 times a year for the last 3 years. I am all smiles when i think of going for a run on the highway, though I will remember the first sign I saw as I entered the province in late Feb. The signs detailed the fine grading for speeding charges and that is probably the reason why my tomtom alerts me when Im going +40km. Actually its more so because the car doesnt feel like your traveling that fast. :)
