Harness is for 55W systems.
Flickering is normally caused by faulty ballasts or cheap bulbs. What kind of kit is this?

Cheap kits don't always flicker. I have a pretty cheap kit now (since I can't justifying the price of the kits I used to buy) and it has been flawless for over 2 years.
What exactly is happening that the flicker happens? On startup? While driving? etc...

The Morimoto 35W kit comes with a relay ...
are both lights flickering? If they didn't flicker before, it could be that the components are on their way out ...

^ This.
But you could try installing 2 capacitors( one in each side between stock harness and ballast power source). It is like $10 each from a local store with the proper wires to connect to ballast. Or some people just buy capacitors from electronic stores and wrap electrical tape between connections.
I read a lot about this before I installed my HID. Will try to find the source.

I believe a harness is just a "safe bet" that the system won't flicker and that they'll fire each time you turn them on. I've run with without harness.
Harness is the way to go for reliable performance of hids. Stock wiring can just barely support the firing of hids.
Just my opinion tho.
Hids work best with harness.

If your system is grounded, check your ground connection. It could have just corroded since you installed the system. A poor ground will cause the lights to flicker and go all crazy. If it's not that, probably the ballasts. I wouldn't bother with capacitors (depending on your electrical know how)
