This is very interesting. I saw this on the news yesterday and it automatically made me want to buy a diesel car.
Legit or complete BS?? Is this even possible?

This has been in research for years, Agriculture Canada has been on this, and researching other sources of grain to use as fuel for cars, as well as for heating homes for a very long time. It's not really the latest news... It is cool though!

You can turn a box of crayons into a viable fuel source or old newspapers. Oil companies run things...so the most you gonna get is something other than corn to make denatured ethanol . Chocolate bars can be made into ethanol.

Flax seed is,,but flax seed oil is very volitile. Farmers used to take oily flax seed rags, leave them in a tin, then poof! Spontaneously combust, burn down the barn,,collect insurance...lol

They had news a week or two ago about a variant of E.coli that fed on sugar to produce diesel.
Time to start investing in E.coli.... wait... i mean sugar...

And lets not forget mazdaspeed and tyson foods making bio diesel from chicken scraps from tyson foods for the new 6 race cars.

It's interesting stuff. Still some drawbacks though. Like how it can't be used in cold climates (like Canadian winters) if the biodiesel concentration is high in the fuel.
