It's not that I don't enjoy the amazing looking main page (index.html), but I feel that to add to an overall user experience, you could add a "Do not show again" or "Skip for a week" options in a very subtle manner:

Using cookies you could set it to appear again after a certain amount of time. You can even do a simple check for browser type and only show this option on mobile devices.

I can provide full html, css and js if necessary.

Just a suggestion, feel free to hate!

(Don't hate, it hurts mah feelers!)

I think most users that use that site regularly, just default navigation to www.torontomazda3.ca/forum by default. That skips the splash page.

torontomazda3.ca/forum

Edit. Damn S.F.W. You beat me

But that's a whole a lot of effort D: Plus the browsers still default to torontomazda3.ca (alphabetical order) (Using down arrow to get the /forum url down the list is effort in my book)

As for bookmarks: Yup, pretty much the only solution.

I just feel that providing an option to do something is always nice.

But anyway, glad to get input on the suggestion!

I do appreciate the suggestion. I will discuss with cwp_sedan. One issue I can foresee, is we may going forward update the splash page with other info. In that case we would want people to see it.

Another option for you really lazy people like me is roboform.

Its a bar on top of my browser, I just click on torontomazda3 link and it automatically brings me to the page, types in my user name and password and logs me in.
2 clicks of a mouse and I'm in the forum.

Yeah, if the main page is actually going to function for more than just a splash screen, then this suggestion is most definitely not viable in any way.
As something completely off-topic: This mod is very fun (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=132996) and I've used it previously to extend vBulletin functionality to external pages. Hook into vB and pull calendar events, user stuff, etc for the main page. I think there was an updated version somewhere for vB4+

Definitely a nifty thing to use. My friend uses OneLogin, but I myself prefer to type in my info, otherwise I tend to forget it, heh.
