Never heard of them.... my guess would be that you get what you pay for. IMO suspension is extremely important and if your car rides like shit you will not enjoy going places in it. Don't cheap out on suspension. Also, if something fails you're screwed and will be stuck with a large bill for both replacement and installation.

Heard they're a great kit for the buck. Really low. A lot of Nissan guys run them, the Mazda kit is pretty new

No problems.

Easy maintenance. IMO better built then kw's v2. ( the adjustment collar on the kw is garbage)

Ride quality is a little rough but it doesn't bother me. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/30/agu5ypyh.jpg

Excuse the crappy picture. I'm 3000km away from my car at the moment.

I said the collar on the kws are crap. Which they are. They seem to be made of a hard plastic which tends to break or strip. Vmaxx is at least aluminum.

It was not to say general construction is better on Vmaxx. Now I'm 2 years on them without issue, but I'm sure kws would be the same. My only issue is the collar.

As well. Sometimes you just pay for a name.

At the end of the day. Vmaxx is NOT one of the better options on the market. BUT I have had no issues.

I adjust my collars on my kw's by hand. I don't use the wrench. Kw's are an application designed, dyno-tested coilover. Vmaxx are parts-bin unit and the price, as well as the ride quality, performance, and durability reflect that.

i agree....

The collar annoys me. I spent quite a bit of time with a pipe wrench trying to remove one that had the plastic stripped and stuck in the threads. When searching them it seemed to be a common problem. I also adjust my vmaxx by hand.

I was assuming that people would understand what i was talking about when i orginally typed it. Kw's are a great coil so i hear, i still have a problem with the type of collar they use. I just think for the price of those that they could have came up with a better collar.

None the less.

if you had the option between getting a good second hand vmaxx or kw. get the kw, overall a better coilover ( ride quality ect). If you do purchase ANY coilover make sure the collars spin by hand.

My collar is aluminum. That's odd yours wasn't. Did you have v1 it v2?

I was helping another member install them.

I was told they were v2 but you never know. The collar itself was purple extremely hard plastic.

i have vmaxx, they go really low, im not even at the lowest setting and im much lower then spring people. The ride quality is alright, i mean i don't really have anything to compare with, but you get used to it. It handles well on the highway. I mean for the price, Im satisfied especially if spending 500 more for BC is to much, like it was for me. I'm on my second year having them too.

Anyone know where I can pick up a set?

I run these. They can go extremely low and the ride and handling is excellent for the price. My only problem was with the helper springs as they were really stiff and hindered the lowering height. There's a thread on it somewhere here... However, I got them taken out and they were good to go :) Easy to maintain and adjust. For the price I paid, they are great coilovers- thanks bbell1984 :P

I still think something was off about that. My helpers are still on.

Did you guys just order them from the v-maxx website?

Helper springs should be fully compressed at all times when the car is on the ground. You should be able to compress them by hand. If not, that's odd.

That being said they will add height, probably an inch or so

i got mine through a garage16 group buy. At the time you couldnt purchase direct.

Honestly if anyone wants to see what they feel like let me know and we will try and arrange something. it will have to wait until mid july though as im not in ontario.

Yeah mines were weird plus it was used set. Brian at APH showed me how my helpers didn't compress at all then stood on them lol. It was a quick fix and it's all good`now :)
