Hopefully there's an option where you can turn off notifications for being tagged? However that would be counter productive no?

They will still pop up in your notifications but not email you.
I think there is an opt out as well.

Good. It works.

Anyone starts tagging me for no reason will get banned 1 week minimum.

This will work well if members could tag me when a classifieds thread needs to be locked
