Hello folks.

I have a Gen2 and i'm looking to snag some springs soon.

I have seen that the H&R (which is also reputable for their springs) has a drop kit that should work on the stock shocks/struts.

Is anyone here running them? I see they advertise a 1.6//1.9 drop, but i see some people are seeing less then that.

Hope to hear some input. Thanks!

H&R typically won't give you a noticeable drop, go sportlines if you want to see some low!

Not looking to go super low. streets here are not the greatest in Winnipeg. H&R's look like they would eliminate most of the wheel gap, and still give a good stance. Eibachs are out of the question due to unreal shipping charges to get them here.

Maybe prokit gen1 or gen2 should do.

I was looking at those, but after shipping, duties, and taxes, i would be looking at over 500 bucks. Even local suppliers are the same price.

The H&R's will cost me around 240$ shipped.
How will the stock struts hold up with the H&R's though? That would be my main concern.

I dont mean to highjack this thread but whats the drop on Eibach Prokit? Im looking for a 1-1.5 drop, I just want to close the gap but dont want to worry about speed bumps and driveways either. I have a Gen1 Mazda3.

i Just ordered eibach pro kits yesterday for a really a good deal. I believe they are advertised as 1.2 in the front and 1.2 in the rear.

Tough to say with any degree of certainty. As a general statement, being lowered accelerates wear on the shocks/struts and the stockers commonly start to fail around the 100k mark (give or take). That's again somewhat dependent on driving style and road condition among other variables.

Will the H&Rs destroy your shocks/struts? Not that much faster than your stock springs would under the same conditions, especially if it's only a mild drop.

I have about a half to one finger gap in the front, and like, a one and a half finger gap in the back. I do sometimes wish i went a bit lower, but if you're like me and give rides to people frequently, this is a good choice.

Ya I'm normally the cab driver amongst my friends and my girlfriend. Guess its a good pick for a decent drop and practicality.

That's with 17s as well. My buddy's got a first gen speed 3 lowered on pro kits, and he's on 18s, and it covers up the gap a bit more.
