Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and looking to buy a used mazda3. I'm looking at this online and it seems like a good deal. Just wondering if it sounds too good to be true. Any opinions appreciated, thanks!

Price doesn't seem that far off to me and no signs of the infamous rusting quarters (or maybe im blind)

My 2008 gs sedan had more mileage but was cheaper. it looks nice but do look out for any rust.

I don't think the wagon came as a 2.0L and watch out for the 2.3L

In 2008 they introduced the 2.0L hatch. Think it was the 2008.5 model or something like that. Whats wrong with the 2.3L?

All first generation (04-09) hatchbacks are 2.3L. The 2.0L hatchbacks are only available for the second generation 3's. If there's nothing major wrong with the car, the price seems fair for it's condition, year and mileage.

According to wikipedia

" 2008
In Canada, the 2008 model year was replaced in Spring 2008.

An additional trim level included the Sport GX with a 2.0L engine, previously all Sport hatchbacks had a 2.3L engine and came only in GS or GT trims. Compared to the GX sedan, the GX hatchback has body-coloured door handles, and fog lamps. Options for the Sport GX include air conditioning, a convenience package containing power accessories and 15-inch alloys, and a rear trunk spoiler. "

Anyways, go take it for a test drive and look for any damages on the car. Also ask for a CarProof and see if it has been in an accident, might be the reason why it's cheap

What I've been seeing with the 2.3l lately is bad compression and burning oil like alot , not all 2.3
But most I've seen have been doing this
