I installed them behind the grille. I used a metal that is used to hold shelves. I painted it black and drilled a 3/8 hole into the plastic. Wil take pictures later

Thanks Chris, and jchc91 like one of those L shaped brackets? are you talking about that Y shaped piece of plastic infront of the radiator?

not too sure what they're called. I installed and had some lying around so it was convenient. And yeah it was! it sits on the bar on top of where the foam on the bumper is.. Basically what you said though!

sorry double post... forgot i could edit...

Basically these

Mine had less holes though. it was originally longer than I needed so I cut it and then bent the metal where I needed it.

Just use the bolts that are already there.
Just requires a little bit of finagaling

This was where I installed mine... used the plugs that are holding the wires above the rad. Had to fold the tabs down on the back of the hellas because the wires were too close to the rad sticking straight back.

Im on a gen 1 sedan though, however that doesn't look like its too different from the way my front end looks like

On a Gen1, you're probably going to want to take the extra effort to make sure they're centered. Mine are slightly off center, but being a Gen2, and painted OEM... no one will ever know they are there unless they are looking for them, lol.

I made a simple mount from a piece of aluminum flatbar from Canadian Tire and mounted it to the vertical piece of plastic (with a conveniently placed threaded insert) that's right in front of the radiator

You'll love them they're soo ****ing loud. I always love showing off the horns to friends, and scaring the **** out of random passersby.

terapr0 Thanks for the idea! I might do this but a little higher, behind the top grille. I wanted to ask though, have you experienced a lot of rock chips on the hella horns?

none that are terribly visible....I mean I havent taken the bumper off to inspect them, but from a couple feet away they look perfect. They're shielded by the grill itself.

So hyperion said attach it to the bolts that are already there, you mean these ones?

Or did you mean these ones with a possible shelving bracket attached to it, Also that big square thing next to the hood release, does it have to be there? or can I move it? [Edit] Yikes! I took that metal plate off and found "front air bag satellite sensor" yeah im not moving that...

Looking around, there wasn't too much space I could fit a hella horn on the passenger side, but I found these screws on the grill, perhaps I can attach a bracket to those?

Im really hoping I can get them in the top part of the grill, it would look fuarkin mad

The first 2 will give you the look you want.

Hyperion true, but that metal sensor cover on the one side doesn't allow me to fit a horn there. Unless I somehow put brackets around it.

Take it off. If you really want it on there, cut out a part of it.

josh (hyperion) installed a set of hella horns for me on my gen 1. i shall take pictures of it and post it up. i ended up using a grinder to cut the sensor cover.

Hyperion

You outline where the horns will be, and hope for the best.
Use the relay, from the 5+ I've wired, I find its louder with it and safer.

I used the relay...

30 to battery +
85 to ground (chassis or go the battery - )
87 to the horns + then connect the horn - to ground
86 to your stock horn +
