So here is the deal,

i got my 2013 sky gs hatch about two months ago. i wanted some more low. An old mazda 3 owner (a 2004 sedan) bought a set of eibach sportlines and had them for like 3 months on the car with light use. The problem is, he cutted them. Than i bought them, not knowing they were cutted and arrived cutted(wanted to kill him) but paid reasonably cheap (130$). My friend who has the same set said they were cutted heavenly and resealed(putted some more red tape and melted it so it looked non-cut and OEM).

so should i still put them on my new car wich has barely 6,000kms on STOCK shocks or should i ask for my money back(paypal so he doesnt really have a choice to give the money back) and get RACELAND(yeah i know, i get what i pay for) CONSIDERING i would only use the lowered springs 3-4 months a year and replacing them back to stock each winter(would mean less use on the stock shocks)

the guy told me it dropped his 3 (2004 hatch) 2 1/4 all around wich would mean, if im correct, 2,5 on my car since i heard the 04-09 eibach drops more on current gen) would i be fine w/o trimming my shocks?

Payed reasonable cheap? That's a lot for a used cut sportlines....

I bought my sportlines like 2yrs ago and it was $80

Anyways....just get your money back...wouldn't risk putting cut springs on a new car....unless u want your strut/shocks wear out

the only thing i dont know is if i can trust the usage he told me, i mean 3 months ok but he told be he bought the car as is with it (just texted me this) so i think he doesnt even know himself they were cut?

1) Cut, not cutted. Cutted isn't a word.
2) Get your money back or throw them out.

yeah i think ill simply get my money back and ask him if he still wants em, i mean would someone buy used springs when the owner himself doesnt have a clue what hes selling? i didn't see the springs in person otherwise they wouldn't be home at this ime!

And to add, putted isn't correct either. I'm laughing so much at the opening post right now.

they're just having fun.

you should get rid of the cut springs/get your money back, and spend the extra $100 and get a new set off of ebay

get your money back, cut springs are safe.

get your racelands and use those, no need to remove for winter if your uncomfortable with being low during the winter just raise them up.

being that you just bought the car will your warranty be fine with installing coils or springs?

I'm sorry your upset. I'm sure the guys who are busting your balls didnt realize your English was bad. It's hard to tell on a forum. But get your money back. And yes you paid way too much for used, cut springs. You have a nice new car, so get your money back, spend a little more money and get some nice ones. New cars are new starts, a new start to do things right. Then when the car has 250, 000 K on it maybe cheap out with weird used springs! Also good luck with your new car!

prolifik Don't worry these guys are nice guys. They're actually giving you good advice aside from giving you some spelling tips. What's your first language? I am sure someone on the forum speaks that language. Welcome.

You tried Cantonese/Mandarin?
1 word + 4 tones = 4 different words.
As a white guy, it's killing me.

If he lied about cut springs I do not think you can trust him on the usage of the springs...

If the guy doesnt reply to me and doesnt want the springs back even if i get the money back ill give the springs a shot, heck, another member was nice enough to offer me a COBB kit for 175$ brand new i think he said (he has over 2k posts so i guess i can trust) so ill put the springs up until i either get a new kit (matter of 2-3 weeks) and trow them out, im pretty sure its unsafe or put them on my older 3 that is stripped down and race with it lol

i'd first like to apologize for busting your balls on your spelling.

the guy that sold you the springs sounds shady to me. i'm kind of doubting that he'll get in contact with you. probably just another scam artist.
also, i wouldn't base your trust simply on the number of posts a user has. check his feedback score, look at his/her posts on the forum and see if they're knowledgeable or if they're just trolls.

nah nah, it wasnt on a forum, we have a facebook page for mazda 3 parts ("localy") and met him there. another guy on the forum proposed me a set and i think it was kinda nice to get an offer that quick and stuff, to replace the set. but the guy seems really nice and ill make sure i get more in touch with the seller before simply sending the money in...

it seems like i can't edit a post: anyways, its cool for the spelling corrections im simply learning more everyday!

so ok everything is sorta sorted out, guy is giving me my money back and im giving back the springs!
so drop is for the spring along with some other goodies, ill get wich ever COILOVERS that suits me best, going cheap may not be the best option anymore, id rather wait and have some quality or sell the car and get a IS250 awd lol
