So I bought a second car for use as a daily and retiring the Speed for weekend/track use. But here's the thing . . . I've called my insurance company 3 times in the last week, including emails. I told them I was picking the at up this week and I needed to add it to my policy. Well they told me I had to speak to "my" representative and not a general person at the company. Well now I own a car that I ant drive because I have no insurance for it, since they haven't called me back yet.

Can people please post up or PM me the number of a reasonable insurance broker, I've had enough of this company raising my rates for nothing and not even treating me like a customer, let alone a valued customer.

Thanks.

Insurancehunters.ca.

Always the best rates that I've found. And you can usually get your insurance within 24 hrs. ( my uncle got his in 2 hrs)

Personally I use Belair direct. I have always had a great experience with them. Good CS and speedy to answer questions.

I was with Johnson but as of today I switched to Allstate for my house and car.

not only were they cheaper but when you call for something you actually talk to someone right away... Plus a another bonus for every year you don't make a claim they minus $100 off your detectable until its zero.

++++ on this. Also like the fact that you can go to any of their offices for help.

I was too lazy to read all the posts but, I used Kinetix.ca. I'm not sure if that's how it's spelled but type it in google and you should be good

Went with TD for the Jetta to drive it home under my union group rate.

FYI - to those with TD, they have a zero modification policy, they told me if the tires have a lower threadwear rating then OEM they have grounds to deny the claim. They are that strict, good thing the Jetta is 100% virginal.

pretty much any bank insurance that is underwritten by someone else will be strict as f&*%.
i've heard many say TD Meloche is the worst.

Damn, I'm with Johnson too and they were only good (fast) when you first sign up. Every other call I've made my broker never answers her phone so I have to email her. Like she is that busy during the day that she can't answer her phone.

They recently also jacked up my car rates; something about CLEAR rating. Maybe it is time to switch?

TD meloche is fine for people who just drive normal cars, i'm sure your parents will be fine.
They are just quick to cancel coverage for anything not "OEM" - which means code for covering they ass to avoid paying out. lol

TD is very cheap, but it comes with a STRICT set of rules. If I were you I would either switch insurance provider or return the car to stock, and I mean every nut and bolt has to be OEM. You don't want to screw yourself or your parents.

I recently switched to desjardins, and joined the ajusto program. You save an automatic 5%, and can saveup to 25% depending on driving habits on your renewal. It was $500 cheaper than any other quote i got, even my own insurance brokerage couldn't beat their premium with my 25% discount here :/ lol
