Awesome video! Wish they increased the speed limits in Toronto. I wouldn't drive faster than I do now, I just wouldn't have to worry about getting a ticket for going 5-10/km over lol.

Glad you guys like it, too many outdated laws are being enforced... hopefully one day the police will go back to serving and protecting.

I re-posted on Facebook, we will see how it goes.

Last time I posted about increasing speed limits on 400 - highways, some people didn't really like the idea; I don't know if I want to be friends with people that think like that :P

saw this vid a little while ago. many good points made but we all know its a somewhat pointless battle.

To much money being made from speeders.

I think they need to revamp the whole licensing system in Ontario (or the whole country) as well.

I went to NY last month and it was night and day between driving over there and driving in Ontario. Everybody kept to the right when I was in NY (for the most part) but as soon as I crossed the border into Ontario, there were cars all over the place going different speeds. I couldn't use my cruise control in any lane lol.

Most people don't know the rules of the road, which is the problem. Really 95% of cars shouldn't be in the far left lane. It's not 'the fast lane' it's the passing lane. Also if people gave done adequate space between cars, there would be less congestion and accidents, but people are always rushed it seems.

I enjoyed that video, but I think more important is that left lane hoggers are a bigger concern.

This video was very well put together. I've always shared the opinion that 'flow of traffic' (speeding) is always a safer drive. Higher speeds also increases distance between cars, leaving more room for people to merge safely.

Here is the actual poll to vote for Ontario. (http://www.torontosun.com/poll/should-the-speed-limit-be-raised-on-ontarios-highways)

Europe it's even better than the US. Ontario just sucks for this people doing 120 in the left lane all day long think there fine.

I've noticed this too. Once you cross the border lots of people stay in the right lane at the speed limit. Kind of weird/awkward when you're used to nobody following the rules lol.

The only place where I don't agree with this is in school zones. I mean, if they raised it to like 80 km/hr and a kid pops out of no where... well you get the picture.

I've only seen the first 5 min of the video but he says going slow in school zones makes sense.

lol, He say's it right away. He also add's that busy downtown streets where there are pedestrians and traffic lights (stop and go traffic) speed limits make sense. If one would listen to the video, he's making an argument that the Hwys & rural roads are too slow where there are no to little pedestrian activity.

Yeah after watching it again I see that ahaha. I'm the type of kid that liked the picture books in school more than anything
