What are your thoughts on personalised Vanity plates? I\\\'ve been REALLY thinking about it, and I thought it would be a lot of fun to throw them on there... distinguish yourself from others [ just don\\\'t piss anyone off ].

In all honesty, whats your opinion?

I\\\'ve been thinking of getting SWRDFISH or SWORDFSH (if they\\\'re available)

I just checked, it\'s available. Unfortunately, you\'re only allowed 8 characters on the plate.

OK, this is going to sound really... dumb but I have a few in mind.

1) Since my car is Winning Blue, I was thinking of getting BEEPBEEP (if it fits) and put a little Road Runner sticker in the corner of my back windshield

2) XENON (obvious reasons)

3) MMMKAY - My brother and I have this inside joke about that word, I thought it would be cool.

As of now, my dealer will be delivering the car with a random plate. If I do get vanity plates, it will be at a later date.

I can\'t believe it costs so much for custom plates in Ontario. My brother lives in Florida, and he pays $45 each plate (they don\'t require a front plate in FL)

Is the 200 odd bucks a one time fee for the plate? Is the sticker renewel fee more than regular plates?

The $200+ price is a one time fee, the sticker renewals are the same price as regular plates. However, if you loose one or both of the vanity plates you can only reorder the same plates after 6 months and the replacement cost is $30 instead of $20 for regular plates.

It was just a joke when I was pregnant, I never did.

And I don't think I could get anything like that.

Although I may consider getting something related to my RN profession. I wish they had some sort of picture related to healthcare and/or Nursing.

Don't these things have a con? What if you zipped past someone and if they remember you and follow you...they might egg or key your car or worse a cop remembers you (sarcasm). I was thinking about doing one when I bought my rig but decided to hold off.

My plate in Ontario that I've had since my dog training days K98 CAT

It would be great if all us TM3ers got some form of seven digit binary plates of 1s and 0s. Then, if you say ran a red light camera or anything and they only get a partial plate, it would confuse the hell out of the ppl trying to issue u a ticket!

I've seen some interesting ones...one that stands out said "h3nt4i" or something like that (some might not get it) and a more recent one was a silver PT Cruiser that had a plate "HYOSILVER"
