Does anyone know how to enable it?

Thanks in advance!

might be a dealer option to get programmed in? No idea, my 2012 sky doesnt do that.

Do you just want it just because? haha

look up 2010 mazda 3 dash test of something. You can make it sweep, but it wont stay sweeping everytime you turn the car on, just a feature to help make sure everything is working properly

That is a cluster self test. A lot of cars do this.

I found you can do it by shorting the fuse that is for the trunk light.
Mind you your doors won't lock either.

Up to you.

I love how subie or other car does the gauge sweep. But I think for mazda 3, it is a way to tell that something is wrong with electrical, at least for 1st gen. If you have dead battery and try to start, it will sweep to tell something is wrong.

edit: or as Hyperion said, shorting trunk or radio fuse will make gauge sweep.
