Doing groceries after work today and they're playing god damn Christmas music in the store. First time I hear it this year. It's NOVEMBER....Christmas is in DECEMBER. I've seen the flyers and decorations starting to creep in as soon as the main Halloween stuff is out of the store :(

Is there anyone that actually wants to hear this stuff before December?

Yeah I know what you are saying. 102.5 just started the Christmas music like 1 week ago and it is 24/7 I believe

Okay I'll admit it. I actually love Christmas music. But...it's still a little early. This is why most people can't stand it, or hate it when the time actually comes; because it gets so damn overplayed by the end of December. I think the last week of November is the absolute earliest it should start.

puhleeze...CostCo has X-Mas crap out by the first week of Aug.
As for the seasonal melodies, be very thankful that you're not working in retail. In my previous careers, I worked at SDM. They started playing Christmas tunes from Nov. 01st onwards. Repeating the same playlist on an hourly basis.............

I worked in a grocery store for 5 years while going through school...back then though we didn't really start until December but even those few weeks were hell. After hours we would change the music to like a rock or hip hop or similar station at least.

My take on Christmas music:

Play it on Christmas eve and Christmas day then move on don't drag it out.

Yeah... most stores around quebec don't even bother stocking halloween stuff, they go straight to christmas towards the end of Oct. Its ridiculous.

I do try to do my xmas shopping in nov to avoid the huge december rush. Now the december rush is slowly starting to spread in november too. I used to love xmas, now it is just full of stress.
