View Full Version : Best Value Accessories?
Hello all,
Just bought a new 2013 Mazda 3 GS-SKY Hatchback. Great looking car, although wanting to know what options you'd suggest that would make the car look even better.:D
Thanks!

Just little things
-put some universal fogs in if you don't have any already
- eyelids
-hids
- rho licence plate
Wheels and tires and a slight drop with some tint and you're set

Don't do rho plate. Corksport makes a much better one.
Great feedback, thanks. How do you install front fog lights? Of all the options this one appeals the most. I looked under the front headlights and there is a blank grill for fog lights although don't know how to install them. I check underneath the mud flaps although there isn't much room to work with. Are universal fog lights different and if so, how do you install them/control their lighting?

For fogs get oem or aftermarket direct fit. There is alot if guides out there. Easiest way is to remove bumper. Wire switch or purchase oem fog light stalk. And its basically plug and play.

Aitch has and i plan on it next season.
When you say wheels and tires....what are some things you can do with them? I like the alloy wheels already on them.....is it a matter of painting the calipers or the wheel? What can you do with tires?

More expensive but will be the "cleanest" look. +1

He's talking about aftermarket wheels, usually a plus size (17's, 18's or 19's if your overzealous ;)). I personally like the stock wheels too but there a tad small for the wheel wells imo. Some paint or plasti dip on the stock alloys will change up the look & is cheap to boot.
sheer, your PMs are full
i saw ur post here: http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?73653-Best-Value-Accessories&p=1140250&viewfull=1#post1140250. which place do u recommend for tint, 3M and rust proofing? Is engine starter necessary in Toronto (moving from alberta). What is the legal tint percentage for front and rear?
thx
People say different things, but the law is kinda racist - Basically your front windows have to be so the cops can make out your face. So if you're white, you can get away with darker, but if you're black, you have to go a bit brighter.
if you do decide to go darker, just roll down the front windows if you get pulled over for whatever reason.
Audio Haven have really good reviews.

HEY all, first time posting , I've had my 2014 mazda 3 hatch for about a month now. love it. Upgraded to 18's and it's black on black ...tinted haha it's i'll post pics soon. Obviously the most challenging thing is the licence plate covering the grill in the front, I'm looking for either products or methods to cut down on the appearance of the plate by covering everything ( top and bottom ) just leaving the plate numbers and letters. Any frames or plate covers you guys know of? Something to slim down the appearance of the "white tooth" and have it blend more into the grill.

You can either get a smoke/tinted cover from Canadian tire or get a tm3 plate cover which has black borders.

Sorry to bring this up from so far back. Recently got a black 2012 M3 GS-Sky Hatch and was looking at the smoke/tinted covers from Canadian Tire. Had a question:
The plate covers and plate both have 4 holes. The car only has 2 holes drilled in the back. Is there a way to cover the two bottom holes of the plate/plate cover without having to drill into the body?
Thanks!

You can get bumper plugs in the automotive section that should cover it up.

You may have to trim it though
